Power HR has been contracted to supply professional Human Resource service to the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force (KRPF) since December of 2018. Since that time Susan has led a number of HR related projects on behalf of the KRPF including but not limited to: objective analysis and re-write of our Harassment and Accommodations policies; assistance with new officer hiring process; review of our Competency Based Management Change Management Plan; completion of leadership and coaching training to our supervisors and members; completion of an employee engagement survey with analysis; building a new Performance Management process; and analysis of and report on pay scales. Susan has proven to be a valued resource for the KRPF during a period of significant change and transition. She is a well informed HR professional, having repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to delivering on client expectations in a professional and value added manner. Power HR brings exceptional HR skills and insight to our team in Prosci Canada but the most important element is the way that Susan is able to identify the organizational environment and context to identify just the right amount of HR influence and avoid over-engineering the solution. It is easy to implement a standard or cookie-cutter solution in most disciplines, but the sign of a good Consultant is to recognize what the organization can absorb and implement to the organization’s need and not go ‘by the book’. Power HR does this exceptionally well.

For the past months, I have had the opportunity to be coached by Susan. She is an amazing human-being, approachable and incredibly good at her job. I am honored to be one of the recipients of Power HR scholarship. As a young adult, I have been struggling to figure out all the steps I need to take to become a success in life. The program helps me to develop and to set realistic goals rather than just have an idea in my mind. Susan guilds me with questions or sometimes advice to help me develop a list of strategy and actions. The advice is extremely valuable for me. I am genuinely grateful for what she helped me with. My life has changed dramatically after the coaching session. Now, I can come up with a strategy for the goal that I want to achieve later. Susan has the power of influence on young adults who needs help to step into this big world and I am an example of this. The goal as an influencer is to influence and change others to live a positive way and I truly believe Susan is an inspired influencer.

Throughout the course of this initiative, Susan created a safe and open environment for our staff to provide confidential input and feedback. The NLCSA has adopted completely and fully, the recommendations from Susan’s report. In fact, we engaged her services to assist with the implementation! I have found Susan to be a consummate professional, extremely approachable and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.
