Multiply Your Leaders to Grow Your Business
One of my favorite children books of all time is Sam and Dave Dig a Hole. To me, it is an amazing metaphor for life. Sam and Dave are two young boys on a treasure hunt for a gem. They dig and they dig, but they cannot find any gem. Many times they shift directions, sometimes they take a break to drink some chocolate milk, and other times they split up and try going their own ways. Each time they change directions they are just inches away from hitting a gem. They are so close to something spectacular!!!
Many times in life the hardest journeys involve digging and digging until we are exhausted. This is the moment that most people give up. Often we are so close to success in these moments where it seems impossible, but we throw in the towel, and are completely oblivious to the spectacular gem we are about to hit.
Anything worth doing in life is hard.
Entrepreneurship, landing your next promotion, being a people leader for the first time… it involves keeping faith and working smarter not harder to find the hacks.
If you are looking to find something spectacular and feel like you are digging and digging, DO NOT GIVE UP. It can help to have a mastermind support group to keep you motivated as well. Masterminds have been a success strategy for years.
In 1925, Napolean Hill coined the idea of a “Master Mind” in his book, The Law of Success. In studying the habits of successful businessmen in the 19th and 20th centuries, he realized that many had formed partnerships and groups to come together to learn, which was one of the keys to their success.
If you feel that you would benefit from being part of a mastermind group, learn more here about how you can invest in yourself and your success.
Until then, enjoy the journey. Everyday can have moments of spectacular, if we are willing to see them!
